A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, she was a member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church where she played the organ for many years. Dorothy retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, working as a secretary for over 50 years. She was an avid animal lover and had many furry companions including Lolly, April, Buster, Daisy, and Silky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Merle J. Uritzie on March 3, 1987 and a sister in-law, Betty J. Uritzie on May 27, 1998, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her very good friend, Donna Greenawalt. The family would like to thank everyone at Hillside Manor for the wonderful care and friendship they provided to Dorothy for over 7 years, and OSPTA Hospice for ensuring that someone was there every day to attend to her physical, medical, social and spiritual needs.
