Dorothy Summers; 84; of Belle Vernon (Washington Township); died Monday; Aug. 23; 2004 in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. She was born Dec. 8; 1919 in Donora; a daughter of the late John and Mary Moravec Martin. Mrs. Summers was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church; Fayette City. She is survived by her husband; Charles Summers; two sons; Timothy Summers and wife Janice of Coal Center and Charles Summers and wife Wanda of San Ysidro; N.M.; one brother; Jack Martin of Roanoke; Va.; one sister; Betty Tomasick of Donora; five grandchildren; Jason; Lisa; Vickie; Shelly and Charlie; and five great-grandchildren; Zachery; Jordan; Cassandra; Tyler and Rachael. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one sister; Margaret Tycak. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City (724-326-5621) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday; Aug. 26 until 9:30 a.m.; when a blessing service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Leonard McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parish Wake service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
