Obituary

Dorothy Jean Cooper Carroll, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, Sept, 7, 2010, in her home. She was the daughter of the late John and Florence Staup Cooper. A resident of Rostraver Township, Mrs. Carroll was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, graduate of Charleroi High School, and was an excellent cook and homemaker. She is survived by her husband, John E. Jack Carroll, to whom she was married 64 years, son and daughter-in-law, John E. Carroll Jr. and wife, Helen Connolly Carroll, of Belle Vernon, three brothers and sisters-in-law, John Cooper and wife, Bonnie, of Monongahela, Charles Cooper and wife, Sally, of Charleroi, Harry Cooper and wife, Kathy, of Allenport, six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Mary Ellen Cooper McGavitt and husband, Kenny, of Coal Center, Betty Cooper Padovich and devoted friend, Tony Ramusivich, of Belle Vernon, Ruth Cooper Temishenko, of Columbus, Ohio, Kay Cooper Kennedy and husband, James, of Elco, Sandra Cooper McLuckie and husband, George, of Charleroi, Kathy Cooper Mische and husband, Fred, of Charleroi, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Jo Carroll King Bonnucci, who died Aug. 2, 1995, two brothers, Vernon and Robert Cooper, and two sisters, Frances Cooper Rhodes and Carole Cooper Butler. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724) 929-6183. Prayer Service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas, pastor as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Dorothy Carroll Thursday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
