Doeothy Hawkins Smith,88,of Culpeper,Va.,formerly of Ridge Avenue,Belle Vernon,died Friday morning,Jan.31,1992,in her home. Mrs. Smith was born Aug.25,1903,in New York,a daughter of the late Peter and Sophia Rogers Hawkins. A Protestant by faith,she had resided in Culpeper,Va.,the past six months,having previously resided in Belle Vernon. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Hennerty of Belle Vernon and Mrs. James (Janice) Watson of Culpeper,Va.;seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents,she was also preceded in death by her husband,Samuel A. Smith,who died Dec.15,1989. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Thomas St. Clair,pastor, First United Methodist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
