Obituary

Dorothy E.Biddle,88,of Chesterfirld,Mo.,died Tuesday,March 11,1997,at 3:25 p.m.in Westchester House,Chesterfield. Born Aug.13,1908,in Coal Valley,she was the daughter of the late James Blake and Harriet Ann Byers Wray. Mrs.Biddle lived in Belle Vernon from 1976 to 1996,moving to Chesterfield in November 1996. She was formerly of Monessen. She was a member of First Baptist Church,Monessen,and had worked as a volunteer for the Belle Vernon Meals on Wheels program at the Belle Vernon Hi-rise for several years. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Joseph Biddle,in 1974,one son,Robert Biddle,in 1987,two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are four grandchildren,Debra Biddle of Topeka,Kan.,Joseph Biddle of Shawnee,Kan.,Robin Hall of Ballwin,Mo.,and James Biddle,M.D.,of Ashville,N.C.,and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m.in the funeral home,with Dr.Allen Lee,interim pastor of First Baptist Church,Monessen,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
