Dorothy E.Biddle;88;of Chesterfirld;Mo.;died Tuesday;March 11;1997;at 3:25 p.m.in Westchester House;Chesterfield. Born Aug.13;1908;in Coal Valley;she was the daughter of the late James Blake and Harriet Ann Byers Wray. Mrs.Biddle lived in Belle Vernon from 1976 to 1996;moving to Chesterfield in November 1996. She was formerly of Monessen. She was a member of First Baptist Church;Monessen;and had worked as a volunteer for the Belle Vernon Meals on Wheels program at the Belle Vernon Hi-rise for several years. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Joseph Biddle;in 1974;one son;Robert Biddle;in 1987;two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are four grandchildren;Debra Biddle of Topeka;Kan.;Joseph Biddle of Shawnee;Kan.;Robin Hall of Ballwin;Mo.;and James Biddle;M.D.;of Ashville;N.C.;and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m.in the funeral home;with Dr.Allen Lee;interim pastor of First Baptist Church;Monessen;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
