Dorothy Rosie Hewitt;a resident of Kirkland for 25 years;died Dec.9;2002;at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. She was 90. Mrs.Hewitt was born July 27;1912;in Pittsburgh;Pa.;where she graduated from high school in 1929. In 1939;she married Edward Hewitt in Pittsburgh. Mrs.Hewitt worked in the accounting department of the Wilson Jones Co.in New Jersey before relocating to the Eastside in 1977. She was a member of Overlake Christian Church;volunteered for 14 years at Group Health Hospital in Redmond and was an avid bridge player. Her husband died in 1965. Survivors include her daughter;Shirley Price of Kirkland;a son;Thomas Hewitt of Woodbury;Conn.;two grandchildren and one great-grandson. No service will be held.
