Obituary

Dorothy Denise Dee Joyner, 50, of Charleroi, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007. She was born Jan. 29, 1957, a daughter of Sally Cady, who survives and resides in Charleroi. She resided in York for five-plus years but was a resident of the Mon Valley all her life. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse. Dee , as she was called by those who were close to her, had a heart for people. In addition to her mother, she leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Eric and William Brown, of Charleroi, one daughter-in-law, Sharie Smith, one god-daughter, Kiana Prosser, one granddaughter, Kali Brown, one grandson, Elijah Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen (724-684-4877), Trudy Taylor-Bristol, director in charge. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Minister Catherine Barrett of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Monessen. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
