Mrs.Davis was born July 6;1912;in Clairton;a daughter of the late Gerald Roy and Sarah Harger Ackard. She had served as chaplain of the Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.187 in Charleroi. Her husband;Leland Davis;died in 1968. Surviving are one brother;David Cleveland Ackard of Monessen. Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where services will be held Monday;Dec.1;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.James M.Robbins;pastor of Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
