Doris L. White,78,of 408 Grant St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Feb. 17,1994,at 1:36 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. She was born Sept. 13,1915,in Gnadenhutton,Ohio,a daughter of the late Harry A.and Mary Elma Fawcett Mills. Mrs. White was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. She had been a resident of Belle Vernon the past 75 years. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis E. White,who died Dec. 11,1987;one brother,Allen C. Mills;and one sister, Nelda Mills. Survivors include three sons,H. Ellis White of Charleroi,Robert J.White of Seattle,Wash.,and Thomas A. White of West Newton;three daughters,Mrs., Martin (Elma) Martinosky,Mrs. C. Howard (Nancy) Hill and Doris,wife of Rev. Kenneth Kinik,all of Belle Vernon;one sister,Mercedes Petry of Tuscarawas,Ohio;15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Saturday at noon with the Rev. Dr. Thomas F. St.Clair,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating,assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Kinik of Norvelt Union Church. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
