Obituary

Doris Elizabeth Lee, 76, of Monessen, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Dec. 10, 1929, in Alicia, the daughter of the late Theodore and Irene Green Walters. Baptist by faith, she was a member of Union Baptist Church in Monessen. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Randell J. Lee, on Aug. 28, 1983, three sisters, Bernice Gommer, Florence Davis and Evelyn Mason. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Ann Lee Beiderwell, of Fresno, Calif., one son and daughter-in-law, Randell I. and Judy Lee, of Fairmont, W.Va., five sisters, Helen Walters, Shirley Taylor and Mildred Humphries, all of Monessen, Hilda Simmons, of Pittsburgh, and Dolly Smith, of Masontown, two brothers, Theodore Walters, of Austin, Texas, and Robert Walters, of Monessen, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks of gratitude to Carla Davis, who extended herself to help and care for Mrs. Lee. Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Union Baptist Church, 670 McMahon Ave., Monessen. Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. with Minister Millie Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the WILLIAM R. TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 645 McMahon Ave., Monessen. Trudy Taylor-Bristol is in charge.
