Doris Emily Hall; 80; of Indiana; formerly of Speers; died Monday; Nov. 5; 2001; in Indiana Hospital. A daughter of the late Shirley Lewis and Edna Pearl Curl Griffith; she was born May 4; 1921; in California; and was the last surviving member of the late Griffith family. A former member of the Speers United Methodist Church; she had lived her entire life in Speers prior to moving to Indiana in 2000. Past employers included the G.C. Murphy Co.; S&S Shoe Store; both of Charleroi; Mapco in Speers Industrial Park and the U.S. Census Bureau in Donora. She; along with her late husband; James W. (Red) Hall; had co-owned the Woodward-Hall Agency and then the Collins-Hall Agency in Charleroi. A loving wife; mother; grandmother and great-grandmother; she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; Dale A. and Barbara Hall of Speers; a daughter and son-in-law; Dr. Kimberly and Michael Husenits of Indiana; six grandchildren; Michele Amodei; Michael and Joel Husenits; Jodi Campano; James and Marni Hall; three great-grandchildren; Tommy and Joey Campano; Erik Amodei and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Frank and Irma Zacchero of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; James W. (Red) Hall; April 24; 2001; two brothers; Lou and Tom Griffith; and four sisters; Edna Godfrey; Bertha Jones; Von Hoffman and Gertrude Kissler. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Avenue; Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Friday at noon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the children’s charity of their choice.
