Donna J. Evans Hite, 79, of Coal Center, died Saturday evening, August 23, 2014 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born June 18, 1935 in Belle Vernon, a daughter of Albert and Leona Shepler Evans. She worked in the cafeteria for the Belle Vernon School District and was an avid race horse owner. Mrs. Hite was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Coal Center. Her husband, Lloyd K. Hite, died in 1998. Surviving are three children, Wayne Hite (Trudy) of Bentleyville, Janis Hite-Niemiec of Belle Vernon and Colleen Hite of Washington; seven grandchildren, Kris, Justin, Carter and Casey Hite, Joshua Miller, Ryne Niemiec and Jessica Martin; three great-grandchildren, Bryce and Maddison Hite and Miada Niemiec and several nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 with Pastor Ken Custer, officiating.
