Donald W. Hamer,56,of 225 Dent St., Belle Vernon (Fairhope), died Sunday,Aug. 20,1967 at 12:30 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr. Hamer,a member of Marion Presbyterian Church in Fairhope,was employed as a clerk in the slab yard of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co.He was a resident of Fairhope 45 years. Born in Belle Vernon May 23,1911,he was a son of the late William Thomas Hamer and Ethel Breakwell Hamer. Surviving are two sons, Dale of Vandergrift and Robert of Fairhope;two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Donna Grace) Gilotty of Monessen and Mrs. Joseph (Darla Jean) Belsick of Belle Vernon;a brother,Robert B. of Grindstone and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. ferguson Funeral home.belle Vernon after 7 p.m. Aug. 21. Service there Wednesday,Aug. 23 at 1:30 p.m. Dr. S. Arthur Talman,pastor of Belle Vernon's First Presbyterian Church,will officiate. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson is funeral director.
