Donald P. (Moose) Mossburg,65, of Charleroi,died Wednesday,May 5,1993, at his residence. Mr. Mossburg was born May 26,1927, in Naomi, Fayette City,a son of the late Charles LeRoy Mossburg,who died Dec. 26,1969,and Betty Raymond Mossburg, who survives and resides in Charleroi. He retired in 1989 after 35 years of service with Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania. Mr. Mossburg was a member of Calvary Bible Church,North Charleroi,which he served as financial secretary. He was also a member of American Legion Post No. 484,Fayette City,the Mon Valley Golden Panthers Club and the AARP. Mr. Mossburg was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Carol Campbell Mossburg; a daughter,Mrs. Paul (Erin L.) Gardner of Middletown; a son Marc W. Mossburg,presently residing in Izmir,Turkey; two grandsons, Daniel P. and Andrew M. Gardner,and a granddaughter, Bethany Carol Gardner. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home,Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi, at which time services will be held in the funeral home with Pastor James Hartzler of Calvary Bible Church, North Charleroi,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
