Donald Lee Pappy Urwin Sr.; 76; of Charleroi; died unexpectedly Wednesday; Nov. 13; 2013; at Allegheny General Hospital. Born on April 26; 1937; he was the son of the late John and Bertha Jackson Urwin; also of Charleroi. Donald was a graduate of Charleroi Area High School and served three years in the ASA division of the Armed Forces. Don was an avid sports fan who enjoyed all Pittsburgh sports; but particularly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sporting activities. He also enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course with the Warner Golf League; his friends and family. He is survived by his wife; Edith Jean (Hewitt) Urwin; whom he married on Oct. 4; 1958; son; Donald L. Urwin Jr. and wife; Valerie L. (Kriebel); daughter; Candace C. (Urwin) Clish and husband; Douglas A.; grandchildren; Brad and Kristin Urwin; Nicole and Michael Bennati; Ryan and Jessica Urwin; Gregory and Ashley Hazy; Jordan Urwin; Corey Hazy; Sarah Urwin; Sadie Urwin; and Ellie and Emma Clish; great-grandchildren; Kaitlin; Connor; Kaleb; Tessa; Ailyn; Aiden and Karlee; siblings; Robert and Eve Urwin of Charleroi; Janet and Julian Hewitt of Charleroi; Dorothy and George Cook of Fallowfield Township and Ruthie and Albert Gauden of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday; Nov. 17; in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME; Charleroi. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday; in the funeral home; conducted by Pastor Ken Custer. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
