Obituary

Donald 'Knute' McCullough, 66, of North Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at 10:25 p.m. at Country Care Manor, Washington Township. Born June 28, 1936, in North Charleroi, he was a son of the late Bert and Pearl Mae Price McCullough. Mr. McCullough was a lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon and a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon. Mr. McCullough was retired from SuperValu and the former Wetterau and Fox Grocery of Rostraver Township, where he worked as a warehouseman. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. McCullough is survived by his wife, Kathleen Niccolai McCullough, to whom he was married 40 years, two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Vickie McCullough and Douglas and Julie McCullough, all of Rostraver Township, beloved grandfather of seven grandchildren, Abby, Aaron, Tyler, Sarah, Emily, Christopher and Jilliann McCullough, and one sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and James Redd of Portage, Ind. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh and Bert McCullough, and two sisters, Esther Antonucci and Oella Joseph. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Saturday, Aug. 31, at 8:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Donald McCullough on Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
