Obituary

Donald G. Keller, 72, of North Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at 11:37 a.m. at his home. Born March 21, 1938, in Monessen, he was the son of the late Clyde Keller and Mildred Lape Keller Wanzilak. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Keller was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was a retired laborer from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle to his family. He was also an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and Edward Pearce, of North Belle Vernon, two nephews, Edward C. Pearce and wife, Mary, of Rostraver Township, and Sean Pearce and wife, Lisa, of Fayette City, a great-niece, Nicole Pearce, and three great-nephews, Joshua Pearce and wife, Marina, Damian Pearce and Mason Pearce. He is also survived by several cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724) 929-6183. Prayer service will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Donald Keller Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
