Obituary

Donald D. Wozniak, 73, of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood, Washington Township), died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at 8 p.m. at his home. Born April 1, 1932, in Lock Four North Charleroi), he was a son of Kathryn Tisot Wozniak, who survives and resides in Washington Township, and the late Alex Wozniak. A lifelong resident of Lynnwood, Mr. Wozniak was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon. He was formerly employed by Pages Chain and Cable of Monessen for 18 years, Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant, for 10 years and Universal Stainless Alloy Products Inc., Bridgeville, for seven years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army, and he was a member of VFW Belle Vernon Post 699. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Helene Semancik Wozniak, to whom he was married for 49 years, a daughter, Denise Wozniak, of Belmar, N.J., a son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Elena Wozniak, of Woodhaven, Mich., two granddaughters, Rachel and Kelli Wozniak, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Wozniak, of Perryopolis, and a sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Thomas Hackenson, of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood). Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 top 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). A Prayer Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Donald Wozniak on Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
