Donald A.Grant of 632 Sixth St.;North Charleroi;died suddenly at 9:30 a.m.Monday;Feb.20;1984;at Mon Valley Hospital. He was 60. Born Oct.21;1923;in Fairhope;he was a son of the late Wilbert and Bertha Grant. Mr.Grant was a World War II veteran;serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints;the Belgium Club;Russian Club;Italia-Unita Club;VFW Post 167 and American Legion Post 22;all of Charleroi. Mr.Grant also held memberships in the Slavic Citizens Club and French Club of North Charleroi and the American Legion of Belle Vernon. He was employed at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;Monessen plant. Surviving are his wife;Betty Doyle Grant;a son;Donald T.Grant of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.Paul (Linda) Hazuka of Charleroi and Jane Grant;at home;three brothers;Wilbert Grant of Republic;Raymond Grant of Lohan;Md.;and Thomas Morgan of Elizabeth;two sisters;Elizabeth Hough of Independence;Mo.;and Mrs.Richard (Vivian) Lewis of Fayette City and two grandchildren;Jeffrey Hazuka and Tricia Grant. Friends are being received on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where a funeral service will be held on Thursday;Feb.23;at 11 a.m.with Elder Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
