Dominic Allessio;92;of 24 Johnston St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Sept. 1;1976;at 12:30 p.m.in Brownsville Hospital. He was born Aug.4;1884 in Italy. He was a member of st.Sebastian’s Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;the Sons of Italy lodge of Belle Vernon;Anita Garibaldi club of Dunlevy and United Mine Workers of America Local 9873. Mr.Allessio was preceded in death by his parents;his wife;Mary Theresa Merandi Allessio;in June 1941;two children;Anthony Allessio in 1975 in Michigan and Theresa Allessio in Italy;one brother;John;in Italy;and two sisters;Mary Caputo and Sarah Mazza. Surviving are two sons;Frank of Donora and James of Speers;two daughters;Mrs.Byron (Rose) Steinbaugh of Charleroi R.D.2 and Mrs.Ted (Theresa) Spazok of Belle Vernon;with whom he made his home;nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing Service will be held Saturday;Sept;4;1976 at 9:30 a.m.at the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.at St.Sebastian’s Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
