Dolores M. Dee Shirley Varega;75;of Monessen;left this earth on Wednesday;November 23;2011 surrounded by her loving family and friends while at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Centerville. Born January 23;1936 in N.Charleroi;she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Kurtak Shirley formerly of Pricedale. A resident of Monessen;Mrs.Varga was a member of St.John the Divine Orthodox Church of Monessen and a 1954 graduate of Bel-Mar High. Dee loved to serve and would do anything for others. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her flower garden;baking and taking care of others. She is survived by her husband Walter Varega to whom she was married 55 years;son & daughter-in-law Dale & Lynne Varega of Monongahela;daughter & son-in-law Claudia Marie & Daniel White of Brownsville;grandson Caleb Varega and many cousins;nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-7:30 pm at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;Family Owned and Operated;626 Broad Avenue;Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. At 7:30 pm Friday evening there will be a celebration of Dolores’ life with Pastor Jim Watts of Library Baptist Church presiding. Relatives and friends will gather Saturday morning for 10 am services at St.John the Divine Orthodox Church of Monessen with the Very Rev.Father Rumen Stoychev;pastor;officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
