Dolores (Lois) James, 59,of Monessen,died Thursday,April 11,1996 in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born April 29,1936 in Pricedale,a daughter of the late Floyd Gradford and Clemmie Thompson. Mrs. James was an avid bowler in Monessen and Bentleyville. Survivors include her husband John E. (Sammy) James;one son,Damon B. Hooks;three brothers, Calvin Thompson of Ohio,John Thompson Jr.of Ohio and Kenneth Thompson of California;one sister,Vermeil (Doe) Wilson of West Newton;two grandchildren;two stepsons,Eric James of Carroll Township and Keith James of Ill.,and one stepdaughter,Karen Duncan of Atlanta,Ga. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth St.,Monessen. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Antioch Baptist Church,Highland and Henry Streets, Belle Vernon,with Rev. Clifford Carter officiating. interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
