Obituary

Dolly Pieri Biagini, 91, of North Belle Vernon, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at Adult Assisted Living Inc., Dunlevy. Born April 22, 1914 in Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Theresina Bartolozzi Pieri. Mrs. Biagini was a resident of Belle Vernon since 1936, a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and was a retired clerk for Valdiserri Bakery. She also was an avid bowler, golfer, enjoyed cooking and was a short stop softball player. Before her marriage, she worked at her father's grocery store in Dunlevy. She is survived by her husband, Chester C. Biagini, two daughters and a son-in-law, Marlene Hartley of Scituate, Mass., and Janet and Steve Kane of Greenbelt, Md., two grandchildren, David Hartley and Elizabeth Hartley-Lowe, and one great-granddaughter, Jessica Hartley-Lowe. She was preceded in death by a brother, Italo Pieri, and five sisters, Emma Franchini, Lena Valdiserri, Dena Zanardelli, Ida Picchiarini and Lillian Valdiserri. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, May 11 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at noon in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas V.F., pastor, as celebrant. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Dolly Biagini on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
