Obituary

Direll H Chambers. 85 of 228 Woodland Ave., Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, Oct 4, 1994, at 7:32 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Uniontown, March 3, 1909, a son of the late Charles and Maude Magee Chambers. Mr. Chambers was a member of the Belle Vernon F&AM Lodge 643, the Valley of Pittsburgh and the Shrine Syria Temple of Pittsburgh. He was past president of Caravan 17. A resident of Rostraver Township for the past 30 years, he had retired in 1976 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, where he was a pipefitter. He is survived by his wife, Rose Karelli Ambrose Chambers, a son, Edward Chambers of Dallas, Texas, a daughter. Beverly Podanic of North Charleroi, a stepson, Charles Ambrose of Charleroi, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Duane (Betty Ann) Lowe of Brandon, Fla., 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Denzil Chambers and Charles Kibler, and one sister Verda Collins. Friends will be received Wenesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor John Kendall of the Roscoe Church of Jesus Christ officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
