Dennis A. Zucconi, II, 58, of Hempfield Township, Greensburg, formerly of North Belle Vernon went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 31, 2015 following a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family at home. Denny was born on November 6, 1956 in North Charleroi. He was born on the night General Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected President. He was the first born son of the late Dennis A. Zucconi and Joan Mayerchak Zucconi who survives. He was Roman Catholic by faith and a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensburg and a former member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in North Belle Vernon. Denny graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School and attended California University. He was formerly employed by AT & T and currently with Leed’s Corporation. Denny had a great love and knowledge of cars, vintage and new. He spent many happy hours with his dad and brother restoring antique cars. He was an avid reader and had a great memory. He was the family historian and a big fan of the Steelers. Most importantly, he was a loving and proud father of his three children. Denny leaves to cherish his memory: Son, Kevin Dennis Zucconi of Washington, PA; daughter, Erica Matsuno and son-in-law, Dr. Nobunaka Matsuno of Washington, PA and daughter, Katie Lynn Zucconi of Washington, PA; mother, Joan Zucconi of North Belle Vernon; sister, Marcia J. Zucconi of North Belle Vernon; brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Deborah Zucconi of Belle Vernon; niece, Launa Zucconi of Morgantown, WVA; nephew, Benjamin Zucconi of Belle Vernon; step niece, Mrs. Danita Novak of Blawnox; and step nephew, Corey Signorini of Greensburg. Sadly, Denny will not meet his granddaughter-to-be here on earth. Denny always cherished his great friends who were always there for him. He appreciated his good neighbors and all the good people he worked with. He is also survived by his former wife, Annamarie Zucconi of Washington, PA. Denny will be greatly missed by his family who loved him and all who knew him best.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 P.M. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday followed by a funeral mass at 12 Noon in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 3 P.M. Tuesday led by members of St. Sebastian Parish.
