Demetries Joseph Bridge, 85, of Belle Vernon, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 in his home. A son of the late Demetries and Louise Kelloway Bridge, he was born in N. Charleroi on September 6, 1930.A resident of Belle Vernon for most of his adult life, he retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company in 1985 and was a handyman throughout the Belle Vernon area doing carpentry and painting. Joe served in the U.S. Army from 1948 until 1953. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Gene Mustybrook Bridge, two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Joe Popp and Lorraine and James Zunic, one son and two daughters-in-law, Joseph and Deanna Bridge and Jenny Bridge, all of Belle Vernon, two sisters, Margaret Chelock of Cleveland, OH and Helen Post of Charleroi, three brothers, Jack Bridge of Monessen, Donald Bridge and Robert Bridge, both of Belle Vernon, six grandchildren, Jackie Armentrout (Michael), Gena Myshin (Scott), Lynnsi Premoshis (Dustin), Jesse Zunic, D.J. Bridge (Jenny) and Adam Bridge (Michele) and two great-grandchildren, Alivia Joe Premoshis and Adam Bridge, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Bridge in 2011 and D.J. Bridge in 2014, one son-in-law, Gene Popp in 2015 and three sisters, Lorraine Maiolini, Patricia Bryner and Jean Robison. Friends will be received 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
