Obituary

Delores Britt Nescot, 95, of Pricedale, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at 1:56 a.m. at Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born April 29, 1918, in Jeannette, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Krieger Britt. Mrs. Nescot was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and the former church Ladies Guild and a homemaker. She was a former member of the Pricedale Hungarian Club Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and keeping up with current events. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, James and Jane Nescot of Greensburg, daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Joseph Gallo of Monessen, two grandsons, Dr. Franklin J. Gallo and wife, Donna, and James D. Nescot Jr. and wife, Meaghan, great-grandson, Landon James Nescot, four sisters-in-law, Lois Britt, Emily Britt, Angeline Nescot, and Joyce Nescot, several nieces and nephews, close friends, Angela Lancas and Margaret Raboci. The family also extends thanks to Delores's care givers Kathy and Glenn Weaver, Ashley Weaver, Caring Mission and Grannies Nannies. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Nescot, Dec. 19, 1976, and three brothers, John William Britt, Robert L. Britt and George Richard Britt. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer service will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Delores Nescot Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
