Obituary

Delilah Dee Walton, 92, of Palatine, Ill., formerly of Fayette City and Belle Vernon, entered into Heavenly rest on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, in St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly in Palatine. She was born in Fayette City on Nov. 16, 1912, a daughter of the late Edward R. and Lida Finch Bauer. She was a former member of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church, a member and Past Matron of Belle Vernon Chapter 196 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Belle Vernon Public Library. She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Stimmell, of Palatine, Ill., one son, David A. Walton, of Pittsburgh, twp grandchildren, Karen Pioch and husband Paul, Randy Stimmell and wife Sue Ellen, and two great-granddaughters, Danielle and Sara Stimmell, all of Illinois, and one brother, Edward R. Bauer and wife Rosamond, of Carmichaels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Albert R. Walton, in 1981, one son-in-law, Bernard Stimmell, and one sister, Floreine Jones, in 2005. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, and until 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, when funeral services will be held with Ross Ackinclose officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, Palatine, Ill.
