Obituary

David Wayne Courie, 55, of West Newton, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was born in Greensburg on February 2, 1970, a son of the late Fredrick Floyd and Irene May (Nagy) Courie.

David was a mechanic and worked on fleet equipment for Modar Service's in Jeannette.

David is survived by his sisters, Ginny Courie of Carmichaels and Vicki Barcelo of Fayette City; brothers, Butch (Connie) Courie of West Newton, Harry Courie of Bedford Heights OH, Alan Courie of West Newton and Paul Courie of Waltersburg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Courie and John Courie.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m.
