A big powder explosion at Fairhope,Saturday afternoon,was the means of wrecking a house and seriously injuring several members of a well known family. David Hunter,son of James Hunter,was opening a powder keg by means of a knife when a spark flew into the powder causing an explosion which completely wrecked the house and so badly burned the boy that he may not recover. The parents and three other children were also burned,the latter three,James,Jennie and Christina,seriously. The family has been unfortunate in that just two months ago they were burned out and just rebuilt a new home. The boy was taken to the Mercy hospial,Pittsburgh,were he died.
