David D.McCuen;74;of Speers;died Tuesday;Jan.1;1985;at 9:20 p.m. in Jefferson Center Hospital. He was 74. Born June 8;1910 in Burgettstown;he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth Poole McCuen. Mr.McCuen retired from West Penn Power with 44 years of service. He was a Protestant by faith. He was preceded in death by his wife;Dorothy Simpson McCuen and a daughter;Karen Elaine McCuen. Surviving are one son;Donald McCuen of North Charleroi;two sisters;Mrs.David (Blanche) Douds of Imperial and Mrs.Clark (Edith) Ralston of Paris;Pa.;three grandchildren;Wayne;Barbara and Kristen McCuen and one great-granddaughter;Katherine Ann McCuen. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where funeral services will be held Friday;Jan.4;at 1 p.m. with Rev.Gerald McCormick of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
