David C. Winstone,71 of 448 McKee Ave., Monessen,died Tuesday morning, April 20,1971 at 3:40 a.m.in Charleroi - Monessen Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Braddock,he had been a Monessen resident since 1901.He was employed by Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel as a bricklayer and later watchman prior to retirement in 1964. He was a member, of the First Baptist Church of Monessen and a member of F&AM 638,Monessen. Surviving are his widow, Sadie Gillespie Winstone;five daughters,Mrs. John W. (Davene) McKelvie of West Newton, Mrs. Herbert 0. (Dorothy) Johnson of Monessen,Mrs. Robert C. (Vivian) Ammon of Fellsburg, Mrs. Theodore (Lorna) Wolf of Monessen and
Mrs. Harold R. (Laverne) Ferguson of Monessen;two sons, David A. of Monessen and Donald K. of Fort Lee,N.J.; three sisters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Mesher of Donora,Mrs. Frances Pop of Monessen and Mrs.Willliam (Robena) Kioski of Belle Vernon; two brothers, Harry Winstone of Monessen and George Winstone of Belle Vernon; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home, Monessen,after 2 p.m. Wednesday,where a Masonic service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m.and funeral services Friday,April 23,at 10:30 a.m.with the Rev.Allen T.Herman officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
