David A. (Ozzie) Winstone of 9 Washington Drive, Monessen, died Monday, Sept. 14,1987, in Jefferson Center Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 63. Mr. Winstone was born Feb. 28,1924, in Monessen, a son of Sadie Gillespie Winstone of Greensburg and the late David C. Winstone. He was employed as a dock foreman at the Vocational Rehabilitation Center in Monessen. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister,
La Verne Ferguson. Mr. Winstone had attended the First Baptist Church of Monessen. In addition to his mother, survivors include four sisters, Mrs. John W. (Davene) McKelvie of West Newton, Mrs. Herbert O.(Dorothy) Johnson of Monessen, Mrs. Robert C. (Vivian) Ammon of Fellsburg and Mrs. Theodore J. (Lorna) Wulf of Toledo, Ohio; one brother, Donald K. Winstone of Pompano Beach, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home, Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen,where services will be held Wednesday,Sept,16,at 1 p.m.with the Rev.Earl Lehman,pastor of the First Baptist Church of Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
