Darrell P. Dobas; 60; of Coal Center; formerly of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with brain cancer on Wednesday; Nov. 13; 2013; in Humbert Lane Nursing Center. A son of the late V. William and Christine Driesen Dobas; he was born in North Charleroi on Nov. 26; 1952. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Coal Center and the National Hot Rod Association. Darrell owned and operated Dobas Transmission Service in Charleroi since 1982. Survivors include his daughter; Madison Dobas and her mother; Barbara Cooper of Fallowfield Township; two stepchildren; Ashley Keppich of Bridgeville and David Altemara of Altoona; one brother; Douglas Dobas of Hershey; half-sister; Nancy Mackey of Morgantown; W.Va.; one cousin; Judy Driesen; and close friend; Jim Sidary of Belle Vernon.
