Daniel Robert Doty Jr. of 444 Chestnut St.,Monessen, died Thursday,May 29,1986 in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 60. Mr. Doty was born Jan. 3,1926 in Monessen, a son of Daniel Doty Sr. and the late Anna Delzangle Doty. He had been employed as a machinist for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Monessen Plant,until his retirement in Feb. 1984. Mr. Doty was a member of St. Cajetan R.C.Church and the Northern Italian Political Association (N.I.P.A.), both of Monessen. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Doty in May 1985. In additon to his father, survivors include his wife, Ornella Caporossi Doty; a daughter, Mrs. David (Diane) DeLuca of Greensburg; two granddaughters, Lonnie and Lauren, both of Greensburg; one niece and two nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,where a Prayer service will be held Monday,June 2,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christain Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Cajetan R.C.Church,Monessen, with Magr. P. Lino Ramellini,pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Prayer service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
