Obituary

Daniel R.Wright,80,of Monongahela,died Thursday,Nov.10,1994,at 8:10 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township.  , Born July 24,1914,in Monongahela,he was a son of the late James and Effie Wright.  ,A lifelong resident of 511 West St.,Monongahela,Mr.Wright was the last surviving member of his immediate family of nine brothers and one sister.  ,A 1933 graduate of Monongahela High School,he attended Bluefield State College in West Virginia.  ,A veteran of World War II,Mr.Wright had worked as a first aid technician assisting medical officers and had served in the European Theatre of Operations for 21 months.  ,For many years he owned and operated Wright's Bar on Main Street in Monongahela.  ,Mr.Wright had also worked as a crane operator for U.S.Steel Corp.and retired after 14 years as a caseworker with the Pennyslvania Department of Publie Welfare.  ,Survivors include his wife,Doris Wright,three daughters,Dorothy E.and Deborah A.,both of Brooklyn,N.Y.,and Danielle I.of Oak Park,Ill.,one granddaughter,Dawn A.Jackson of Brooklyn,N.Y.,and one sister-in-law,Dorothy A.Ross of Pittsburgh.  ,Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Bethel A.M.E.Church,Monongahela.  ,Percy E.Law Jr. Funeral Home,Donora,is in charge of arrangements.
