A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 3,1974 in Belle Vernon Cemetery, Westmoreland County,for Dana L. Johnston,72,of 29 S. Round St.,who died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday,July 2,1974 in Suburban Manor Nursing Home after a two-month illness. No calling hours are planned. Interment will follow the service on Tuesday,in charge of the Howard H. Reynolds Funeral Service,909 Adams St. Mr. Johnston was born in Charleroi,Pa.,on Jan. 23,1902,to the late George W. and Eva Miller Johnston. He was a retired painter,formerly employed at the Castleton Hotel. He was married to the former Louella Hammond,who preceded him in death in 1950. He is survived by a daughter,Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Baker of Northridge, Calif.,a son, George W. of New Castle and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.Lawrence in 1970,and two brothers.
