Obituary

Cynthia Marie (Slavik) Zimmerman, 53, of Belle Vernon, died Sunday, Feb.10, 2013, after a long battle with an illness. Born in Washington, Pa., Sept. 6, 1959, she was the daughter of Stephanie (Petelicka) Slavik, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon, and the late Thomas Slavik. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Francis L. Zimmerman, three sons, Aaron Joseph Zimmerman of California, Pa., Mason William Tripp of San Diego, Calif., and Graham Harley Tripp of Pittsburgh, three brothers, Thomas Slavik of St. Petersburg, Fla., Erik Slavik of Dunlevy, and Michael Slavik of Lynnwood, and two sisters, Joann Wilson of Monessen and Aileen Kremer of Gulf Port, Fla. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, http://www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 801 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
