Obituary

A former chief of police of North Belle Vernon,Coy H.(Roy) Holbrook,67,died Wednesday,Nov.7,1962,at 8:40 p.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Holbrook made his home at 514 Baltimore St.in Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow,Bessie Price Holbrook,his stepmohter,Mrs.DeEtte Holbrook of Tramp Hill,N.C.,two sons,George and John of Belle Vernon,two daughters,Mrs.Joseph (Betty) Riskey of Charleroi R.D.,and Mrs.William (Ruth) Sterner of Belle Vernon,four sisters,Mrs.Ila Sparks,Mrs.Beulah Castvens and Mrs.Nannie Castvens,all of Tramp Hill,N.C.,and Mrs.Louis Baugess of New Plymouth,Idaho,three brothers,Ralph,John and Lawrence,all of Tramp Hill,and eleven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m.Nov.8. Services there on Saturday,Nov.10,at 2 p.m.in charge of Dr.S.Arthur Talman,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
