C. George Bonari; 75; of Rostraver Township; went home peacefully to be with his Lord on Friday; July 23; 2010. A son of the late Cosmo and Adeline (Carcelli) Bonari; he was born on Motheral Avenue in Monessen on May 15; 1935. Mr. Bonari retired from Pittsburgh Public Schools after teaching for 34 years as an industrial arts teacher and guidance counselor. George was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon; where he had served as a deacon and president of the Men’s Association. Currently he served as a member of the Joybells Handbell Choir; a member of the Worship and Music Committee; and the treasurer of the Men’s Association. Mr. Bonari served his country in the Army National Guard; and served Rostraver Township as the president of the Recreation Board; a soccer coach and referee; a girl’s softball coach; and Boy Scout leader. Currently; he was also a member of the Rostraver Township Zoning Hearing Board; and the Belle Vernon Lions Club. He was preceded in death by one brother; Lawrence Bonari; of Edgewater; Md. Survivors include his wife of 45 years; Jane (Hamilton) Bonari; his children; daughters; Theresa and Thomas Rodriguez; Christina and Larry Guess; of Rostraver Township; and son; Craig and Renee’ Bonari; of West Newton; two sisters; Rosadele and Grove Carroll; of Hillsboro; Ore.; and LaVerne Galvan; of Monessen; sister-in-law; Marnie Bonari; of Edgewater; Md.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Judy and Gary Higgins; of Rostraver Township; 10 grandchildren; Tommy; Tatum; Taylor; and Tessa Rodriguez; Jared; Jackson; Cameron; and Adeline Guess; and Dominic and Anthony Bonari; and nieces; nephews; and cousins.
