Obituary

Mrs.Cora P.Toth,67,of 125 Johnston Ave.,Belle Vernon,was dead on arrival Sunday,Dec.5,1965,at 12:30 p.m. at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mrs.Toth was the widow of John Toth who owned and operated the Toth grocery store in Belle Vernon. He died Sept.7,1960. A resident of the Belle Vernon area since 1926,Mrs.Toth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,R.J.Linton Class of the church,Golden Age Club of Charleroi and Auxiliary to Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. She was born in Washington County on March 14,1898. Surviving are six sons,John W.of Speers,Thomas E. and Joseph C.of Belle Vernon,Melvin J.and Louis R.of Fayette City R.D.and Clifford H.of Belle Vernon,operators of the Toth Super Markets in Lynnwood,Belle Vernon and Speers,two daughters,Mrs.Wilbur (Dorothy) Pierce of Akron,Ohio,and Mrs.Leo R.(Margaret) Frosini of Finleyville,three brothers,John Smith of Burgettstown,Andrew Smith of Washington,Pa.,and Robert O'Brien of Wichita,Kan.,four sisters,Mrs.Violet Pelkey of North Charleroi,Mrs.Josephine Nichol of Washington,Pa.,Mrs.Esther Roberts of Akron,Ohio,and Mrs.Margaret O'Brien of Baltimore,Md.,twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where a service will take place Wednesday,Dec.8 at 2 p.m. in charge of Dr.S.Arthur Talman,pastor of Belle Vernon First Presbyterian Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
