Connie A. Helton; 75; of Belle Vernon; died Friday; Aug. 22; 2008; in UPMC Mercy; Uptown. She was born Nov. 27; 1932; in Baltimore; Md.; a daughter of the late Anthony and Julia Katinsky Louis. Mrs. Helton was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church; in Belle Vernon; and retired from Charland Sportswear. She is survived by her daughter; Margaret Love and husband; Jim; of Ruffsdale; her son; Jack Marinos; of State College; sister; Catherine Louis; of Fallowfield Township; six grandchildren; Tabbitha; Tammara; James and Tatianna Love; John Anthony Shepler and Shane Marinos; a great-grandson; Anthony John Shepler; sister-in-law; Pamela Strubakis; of Florida; an uncle; Pete Katinsky; of Charleroi; an aunt; Josephine Smith; of Newport News; Va.; and a niece; Joanne Strubakis; of Florida. In addition to her parents; Mrs. Helton was preceded in death by her husband; Connor Helton; two sons; Anthony and Nicholas Marinos; two brothers; Costa and Michael Strubakis; a grandson; Thomas Marinos; three aunts; and an uncle. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC.; 226 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi (www.schrock-hogan.com). Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church; in Belle Vernon. Family and friends attending the funeral services are being asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Panikhyda services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
