Commdore C. Watson,80, of 331 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died in the CharleroiMonessen Hosptia,Saturday,Sept. 8,1962 at 9:15 p.m. He was born in Preston County,W.Va.,July 9,1882. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Presbyterian Church,and the Building and Construction Trade Council,1563. He was also a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners. He came to Belle Vernon 45 years ago from Uniontown,and retired as a carpenter 10 years ago. Survivors are his widow, Elizabeth A. Hayden Watson;one son,James Arnold at home,two sisters, Mrs. Letitia Ramage, Morgantown,W.Va.,Mrs. Lillian Calvert,Masontown,W.Va.,and one grandson,Carlton Lee Watson at home. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ilanthe Watson on Jan. 29,1962. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Tuesday,Sept. 11,1962,at 2 p.m.,in charge of the Rev. J.W.Anderson of the Church of Jesus Christ,Monongahela,and the Rev. David Calvert of Charleston,W.Va. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson of Belle Vernon is the funeral director.
