Obituary

Clyde R.Green,69,of Iron City Hill,Belle Vernon R.D.1,died Saturday,June 10,1972,at 8 a.m.at his home. He was born in Wickhaven,July 4,1902. He was a member of the Smithton Rod and Gun Club and Star Junction Rod and Gun Club. He retired five years ago from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel's Monessen Works where he was employed in the Coke Plant. Surviving are his widow,Mildred Popp Green,two sons,Clyde W.of Monessen and William R.of Belle Vernon R.D.1,one daughter,Mrs.Thomas (Doris) Benicky of Belle Vernon R.D.1,five grandchildren,one brother,James Green of Charleroi,three sisters,Mrs.Howard (Viola) Harrison of Belle Vernon R.D.,Mrs.Samuel (Dorothy) Lori of Clarksburg,W.Va.,and Mrs.Lawrence (Emma) Morris of Monongahela. Friends are being received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral home,Monessen,where a service will be held Tuesday,June 13,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Maybelle Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer,funeral director.
