Obituary
Clyde Buck Lidey,76,of West Newton,died Monday,Feb.16,1998,in his home following a lengthy illness. Born March 4,1921 in Superior,he was a son of the late Harry and Josephine Centenail Lidey. Protestant by faith,he was retired from U.S.Steel Corp.Irwin Works in West Mifflin. Mr.Lidey was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a daughter,Sharon Lidey. Survivors include his wife,Jessie McGowan Lidey,two daughters,Jackie Harmon of West Newton and Kathleen Reed of the state of California,and six grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home Inc.,Fayette City,and Thursday until 11 a.m.,at which time services will be held in the funeral home. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
