Clinton Jack Rhodes; 78; of Belle Vernon; passed away in his home on Monday; July 30; 2007. A son of the late L. Ray Rhodes and Marie Stanko Rhodes Sarra; he was born in Jacobs Creek on Nov. 3; 1928. He graduated from Belle Vernon High School in 1946 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Rhodes had worked for the Donora Southern Railroad; Inter-Ocean Insurance and Burns and Allied Security. Survivors include his wife; Ruth Houseman Rhodes; and three sons and two daughters-in-law; Clinton J. and Carol Rhodes; Richard B. and Andrea Rhodes and Jack D. Rhodes; all of Belle Vernon; three step-sons and daughters-in-law; Bruce and Linda Houseman; Warren and Jody Houseman and Brian and Debbie Houseman; and two step-daughters and sons-in-law; Vicki and Dave Carton and Jill and Paul Trett; all of San Luis Obispo; Calif.; and three grandchildren; Rebecca Lynn Rhodes Burnes and husband Joe; of Dayton; Ohio; and William Sharpless and Nicole Stanish; both of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his first wife; Mary Ruth Dudgeon Rhodes; in 1996; and his step-father; Olterigi P. Sarra.
