Clifford E. Breakwell; 94; of Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; Oct. 22; 2002; in Mon Valley Hospital. Born March 26; 1908; in Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late Edward and Emma Chance Breakwell. He had been employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport Plant; as a project manager of the Coal Draw. Mr. Breakwell was a member of First Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon; where he served as an Elder and Deacon; the F&AM 643; Belle Vernon; and the Shriners. He served for 35 years as a former member of the Belle Vernon and Belle Vernon Area schools boards; having served as a past president of the latter. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one son; Clifford Lee Breakwell; and one granddaughter; Beth Breakwell Buchko. Survivors include his wife; Doris Adelade Breakwell; one daughter-in-law; Marion Breakwell of Belle Vernon; two grandsons; Scott Breakwell of Belle Vernon and Christopher Breakwell of Erie; four great-grandchildren; Nathan; David; Rachel and Sarah Buchko; all of Ligonier; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Services will be held Saturday; Oct. 26; in First Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon; at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. James Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon F&AM Lodge 643 will conduct a prayer service in the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m.; followed by the Deacons and Elders of the church at 7:30 p.m. Contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon; in Mr. Breakwell’s memory.
