Claudette Poland Smith, 75 of North Belle Vernon, PA, was peacefully called home to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. She was born March 12, 1942 in Charleroi, PA, daughter of Robert Poland and Genevieve Hough Poland. Claudette was a woman of strong faith and devoted her life to caring for others. Disney World held a special place in her heart and she loved vacationing there with her family. Some of her passions included playing softball and coaching her children in soccer and softball. She was also very active in the past with Boy Scouts of America. Claudette was an avid SHOPAHOLIC. She was a jokester and loved listening to music of many genres mainly gospel, polka and country. She was always present for her grandchildren's activities and sporting events. But above all else she loved and lived for her grandchildren until the day she was called home.She is survived by her three children; daughter, Shirley Smith DeLeonibus and husband Anthony, daughter, Lori Smith Altamare, son, Robert Smith, Jr.and wife Mary Jo,seven grandchildren, Erica Altamare, Luke Altamare, Josh Altamare, Ashley Smith, Olivia DeLeonibus, Alyssa DeLeonibus, Anthony (AJ) Deleonibus, three sisters, Roberta Lauderbaugh, Cora Jones and Louise Krutz, two brothers, Terry Poland and Robert Poland. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert E. Smith, Sr.; four sisters, Barbara Panepinto, Deborah Sabo, Patricia Zelensky and Jeannine Davis; two brothers Charles Poland and Russell Poland.
