Claude R. Nutt; 76; of Newell; died Tuesday; Jan. 30; 2007; in Havencrest Nursing Center; Carroll Township. A son of the late Claude W. and Blanche Duvall Nutt; he was born in Fayette City on March 24; 1930. A resident of Newell since 1959; he attended the Morning Star Baptist Church of Newell. He retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company; where he was a crane operator. Mr. Nutt served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife; Dorothy Brown Nutt; whom he married on June 27; 1959; one daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Robert Ford; of Perryopolis; one son and daughter-in-law; Karl and Kelly Nutt; of Newell; one brother and sister-in-law; William and Audrey Nutt; of Stockdale; and three grandchildren; Pamela; Collin and Michael Nutt.
