Clarice Rush Cavanaugh,of Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Dec. 6,1978 in the Wightman Manor, Pittsburgh. She was 72. Born Oct. 15,1906 in Twilight Borough,she was the daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn Allison Rush. She was a life-long resident of the Belle Vernon Community. Mrs. Cavanaugh was a member of St. Sebastian's Church, Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by her husband,Thomas Cavanaugh,in 1973, and two sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Hannah) Grundey and Mrs. Eugene (Edna) Crowe. Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by one sister, Mrs. Edward (Edith) Harper of Wampum and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian's Church, Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Leonard J. Parzynski,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
